Christmas decorating....or not

You get the 20 boxes of Christmas decorations out, and look at them sitting in your living room for 4 days.

Add 4 little excited kids asking to help you decorate,

hey, stop running, don't touch those, sit on the couch please....

You rub your head wondering what you were thinking...

Glance over at the chair in the corner, spy your lovely kitty Link....

He has the right idea.....

Come on kids, back downstairs to play....

Guess for now I will continue looking at the boxes in my living room.....

If life after death is real...I want to come back as my cat link =}

I made some Christmas cookies....yum!!

Well,

last night I tried out a new Sugar cookie recipe, and all I can say is YUM!!!!

I did give in and eat one! =}

The cookies were nice and soft, but be sure to take them out BEFORE they brown on the edges, if you are going for soft, otherwise they are still great, just crisp!

The frosting came out GREAT!

You will find both recipes below!

Merry Christmas all!

Enjoy!

HCG Diet

Hey all,
Well I have been embarking on the HCG diet plan for the last 5 weeks and I am PROUD to say I am down 17 lbs!! I am going to share my journey with you all... =]
For those of you (like me) who have never heard of this diet before, (and trust me I have struggled with my weight all my life) here is the basic info...and as god is my witness folks... you are NOT HUNGRY on this plan!

What is the hCG Diet?
hCG stands for Human Choriogonadotropin, the hormone produced by pregnant women in the early stages of pregnancy. Research suggests a small, daily hCG injection (approx. 125 IU to 200 IU) results in a weight loss of 1 to 2 lbs per day, and often more, when accompanied by a VLCD (very low calorie diet of apprx 500 calories). We recommend you read Kevin Trudeau's book, "The Weight Loss Cure They Don't Want You to Know About" which contains vital information on using hCG injections for weight loss.

Sample of what you eat!

Breakfast:
Tea or coffee in any quantity without sugar. Only one tablespoonful of milk allowed in 24 hours. Saccharin or Stevia may be used.
Lunch:
1. 100 grams of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. All visible fat must be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. It must be boiled or grilled without additional fat. Salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed. The chicken breast must be removed from the bird.
2. One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage.
3. One breadstick (grissino) or one Melba toast.
4. An apple, orange, or a handful of strawberries or one-half grapefruit.
Dinner :
The same four choices as lunch (above.)

Drinks and Seasonings
The juice of one lemon daily is allowed for all purposes.
Salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, majoram, etc., may be used for seasoning, but no oil, butter or dressing.
Tea, coffee, plain water, or mineral water (2 liters of water per day is recommended) are the only drinks allowed, but they may be taken in any quantity and at all times.
The fruit or the breadstick may be eaten between meals instead of with lunch or dinner, but not more than than four items listed for lunch and dinner may be eaten at one meal.
No medicines or cosmetics other than lipstick, eyebrow pencil and powder may he used without special permission.

Portions and specially prepared unsweetened, low calorie foods
"In many countries specially prepared unsweetened and low Calorie foods are freely available, and some of these can be tentatively used... the total daily intake must not exceed 500 Calories if the best possible results are to be obtained, that the daily ration should contain 200 grams of fat-free protein and a very small amount of starch." From Dr Simeon's "Pounds and Inches." The manuscript can be found here.

Important Highlights:
The 500 calorie limit must always be maintained.
2 small apples are not an acceptable exchange for “1 apple.”
Very occasionally we allow egg - boiled, poached or raw - to patients who develop an aversion to meat, but in this case they must add the white of three eggs to the one they eat whole.
Cottage cheese made from skimmed milk is available 100 grams may occasionally be used instead of the meat

Why would they even think to push it up there?

Tools needed:
